Ro Ransom - Ransomnia

In most cases I would want to get a brand new project from a rising star such as Ro Ransom posted on the site as soon as possible. You gotta give the people what they want right? This time I decided to pump the breaks, not because I want to delay your musical hunger, I actually just wanted to check it out before I post it. (laughs) I've been waiting for this one to drop for a while, so I figured why rush. I hit DL on Ro's site right when it was released. After getting through about half of the project, my first thoughts were "WOW he really has depth and versatility in his craft". I mean quality from every angle. This project will take you on a journey that you really might not expect. That statement is meant in a good way of course. Once I got to CM Punk I was hooked. That track was the full package in my book. Lyrics, delivery, and production were BEAST MODE. A few tracks later he shifts gears with another one of my favorite joints Many Names, One Heart. This track showcases self reflecting verses over a heart stopping beat that will throw you toward the end of the track, so don't skim through it. The hook will haunt you too. Toward the end of the project you will hear a Chuck Inglish produced track called Push The Envelope and it does just that. The entire project is a creative production that changes speed through out. The added features that Ro called on to assist didn't hurt one bit either. I'll let you find those for yourself. Overall, this is a crazy dope project that is a true artform. I highly recommend you check this on out and listen to it from beginning to end. It's almost impossible not to. S/O to illroots
